The biggest problem I have with this book is the author's inability to stick with American word usage instead of Australian. The story takes place in LA but the author can't escape Australia. For example :
Car park instead of parking garage. Smash repair instead of body shop or collision repair. Rocked up instead of showed up. Panel and Paint instead of auto body and paint. Bench instead of counter. W.C. instead of toilet. Garden instead of yard. Lounge instead of living room. Torch instead of flashlight.
The author should have had it proofread by someone from the U.S.

Brazen Violations edition by Jonathan Macpherson Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Lots of believable action. The question is, what would you do to save a sick child family member? The answer, obvious. Getting there is the hard part. Start your quest.
From the opening line I was hooked on this story. Unusual, to me, plot that also tugged at your heartstrings. The lengths people will go to for family and the outcome of that decision - as well as the rippling effect for all touched - kept me turning the pages until well into the night. I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy with no monetary incentive.
A cracking read. Not for the faint of heart, but I couldn't put it down and finished it in one sitting.
If you want suspense and like thrillers, you can't go wrong with this story.
Highly recommended
This book follows a very desperate, unemployed uncle who has to get expensive drugs for his very ill nephew. In order to do so he has to do so me bad things. This is a very fascinating book. What I didn't really like was the American using Australian English throughout the book. It was confusing, although I could usually figure it out. I was given this book by Hidden Gems for an honest and freely given review. I also purchased this book from .
Enjoyed from beginning to end. Although some of the turns were dark the book held my interest throughout.
The trouble with medications for orphan diseases and what families are willing to do for sick children are part of the core of the book.
Wow, I could not put this book down till I finished it. Non-stop crime thriller. Some of the scary details seemed far fetched. Then I thought wait a minute, this is fiction not a docudrama. Whew, when the book was over it was safe to take a few deep breaths. Seriously it was exhausting to read. I do wish the loose ends had been tied up. There was one particular cop who I wanted to see eat crow for being so judgemental. I definitely will read more by this Author. I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving an ARC.
I'm not totally sure where all the 5 star reviews are coming from. It's amazing how many different opinions we have. The plot had potential and I hooked on the blurb. Boy, was I disappointed. Yes, the Australian slang was a little hard to understand though some of it was comprehensible. I couldn't relate to any of the characters at all. They all seemed shallow and one dimensional. As a mom, I should have been able to connect to Mitch's sister, Lauren. The ending left me disappointed.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book....
